Nucleotide sequence of the cellobiohydrolase gene from Trichoderma viride.
The filamentous fungus, Trichoderma viride, secretes large amounts of several cellulolytic enzymes (1). We report here the nucleotide sequence of the gene coding for exo-cellobiohydrolase (CBH), which accounts for more than 65% of the total cellulase content. This gene was isolated from a T. viride genomic library using a 30mer oligonucleotide based on the sequence of the reported CBHI gene of ...

J. Agric. Sci., Supplement 1: 97–99 In nature, fi lamentous fungi of the genus Aspergillus and Trichoderma are able to secrete a wide range of different enzymes into their environment. In recent year...
متن کاملIn vitro Studies on Biodegradation of Chlorpyrifos by Trichoderma viride and T. harzianum
Although a wide application of pesticides and herbicides are an essential part of augmenting crop yields, excessive use of these chemicals leads to the microbial imbalance of soil, environmental pollution and health hazards to human and animals. An ideal pesticide should have the ability to destroy target pests quickly and should get degrade the toxic and nontoxic substances as quickly as possi...
متن کاملCellulase Production by Trichoderma viride on Feedlot Waste.
Feedlot waste contains essentially all the necessary nutrients for batch fermentation with the fungus Trichoderma viride. The organism utilizes two-thirds of the carbohydrate in feedlot waste while elaborating cellulase in quantities comparable to commercial preparations. Essentially odor-free, the fermented waste contains all of the original nitrogen but has 24% less organic matter.
متن کاملReclassification of Trichoderma Viride (TNAU), the Most Widely Used Commercial Biofungicide in India, as Trichoderma Asperelloides
Trichoderma “viride” TNAU is the most widely used biofungicide in India with more than 250 registered commercial formulations being available. We have studied the phylogenetic position of this strain using a molecular marker and determined that this commercial strain is, in fact, a strain of Trichoderma asperelloides, and not T. viride. The implications of these findings on the registration and...
